Colic Ease
Gripe Water
|
About 25 percent of babies worldwide meet the official "Rule of Threes" criteria for colic: A baby that cries for three or more hours a day, at least three times per week within a three month period. (Wess,et al., "Paroxysmal fussing in infancy," Pediatrics 1984:74:998).
Colic is not only painful for babies, but colic is also extremely stressful for parents. Gripe water, which is the generic name, contains different herbal oils and is well known in European homes, Asian Cultures, Canada, Australia, South America and the Caribbean Islands. Generations have used gripe water to help ease the discomfort associated with babies' colicky pains.
Colic Ease gripe water is made by using the highest quality raw all natural materials in a state of the art, FDA inspected facility that has been in business since 1971.

DIRECTIONS for best results, please read the following:
For best results, use Colic-Ease at each feeding. This will help prevent the painful build-up of gas and cramping that many babies experience at night. Full doses can be repeated once every 1/2 hour, not to exceed 6 full doses per day.
If more than 6 doses per day are needed, you can split each full dose into two 1/2 doses and you will increase the number of doses you administer without increasing the amount per 24 hours.
If your baby is fussiest at night, save at least one full dose to administer just before that time.
Use a medication dispenser or dropper to administer Colic-Ease (instead of mixing it with the baby's expressed breastmilk or formula) as it works best straight from the bottle and insures that your baby is getting the correct dose.
Colic-Ease can be administered anytime in-between feedings when your baby experiences discomfort from gas or colic. Again, don't hesitate to split a full dose into two 1/2 doses to increase the number of doses allowed in 24 hours.
For babies with reflux, try holding your baby in a more upright position during and especially after feedings. Offer a pacifier after feedings and don't lay baby down flat right after a feeding, a bounce seat, car seat or firm mattress at a 45 degree angle will help to keep head elevated above stomach.
|
Parents should consult with baby's pediatrician before using
Colic-Ease with any other over-the-counter products or
prescription medications.
